Important notice, action required by October 31, 2015! Update your payment options with Getty Images

Tuesday July 28, 2015

To avoid interruption in receiving payments choose a new payment option by October 31st, 2015.

Does this change affect me?
If you are a Getty Images contributor with a payment option other than PayPal, you’ll be required to choose a new payment option.

What will happen if I do not select a new option before the deadline?
Contributor accounts that do not have updated payment methods by October 31, 2015 will be updated to USD with no payment method indicated. Until you choose a new payment method we will not be able to issue payment.

We have changed the Payment options available to you.
The new options are:
1. Prepaid Mastercard (powered by Payoneer). The Payoneer Prepaid Mastercard is accepted globally in stores, online or at ATMs; or withdraw to your local bank account at low cost.
2. Bank (powered by Payoneer). Get paid directly to your bank account in over 200 countries in your local currency.
3. Paper check (powered by Payoneer). A check will be mailed to the name and address listed in your Payoneer profile. Delivery times may vary, please allow 2 to 4 weeks delivery.
4. PayPal. Get paid directly to your PayPal account. Please note that PayPal limits payments exceeding $10,000 so if you regularly receive payments above this limit and choose PayPal, please contact them to confirm they can process these payments or choose a Payoneer option.

Payoneer our preferred payment provider is the leading cross-border payments platform that empowers millions of professionals worldwide to grow their business by enabling them to get paid globally as easily as they do locally. By partnering with Payoneer Getty Images can now send fast and secure payments to you our contributors, in more than 200 countries and territories and more than 100 currencies in three methods of Payments.

Getty Images will be issuing payments in USD only. You can choose your local currency when you set up your PayPal or Payoneer account and if that currency is anything other than USD you will incur currency exchange fees.

Why are we making this change?
Making payments efficiently to a global community is tough. We need to evolve and offer a more flexible set of payment options that provide consistency across our entire global contributor community. Providers like PayPal and Payoneer have the expertise and infrastructure to support paying a global community. Leveraging their services enables us to simplify and consolidate the fragmented options we have today across all contributor segments, be confident royalty payments are being made successfully, and focus on what our core business is: getting great contributor content to customers worldwide.

What are the payment options for my country and are there any fees?
Please review this list of available payment options and fees by country. Please note, that while some payment options don’t have a service fee associated with them, you will incur a small exchange rate fee for converting our payment (issued in USD) to your local currency (in instances where your local payment currency is something other than USD).

Getty Images issues payment today in one of four currencies, USD, GBP, EUR or AUD depending on the banking country you provided during enrollment. At the time you choose one of the new payment options, we will issue payment only in USD to PayPal or Payoneer who in turn will pay you. Ultimately, your payment options (and exchange rate fee if applicable) will be determined by our third party service providers Payoneer or PayPal.

What do I need to do now?

The following information will direct you to pages within the Getty Images Account Management tool where you go to access your royalty, and profile information. To access Account Management, log-in to the appropriate Portal below:
Moment Portal (this portal has been replaced by ESP)
Getty Images Portal

Once signed in click on the Payment tab in the Profile section to review your current payment method and select a new payment option at your earliest convenience.

Choosing one of the new payment methods and clicking the next button changes your payment method in our systems, therefore it's very important to complete your registration with Payoneer or PayPal to avoid an interruption of your payments.

Payoneer Our preferred provider
Choosing one of the three options indicating ‘powered by Payoneer’ will take you to the Payoneer website to register and create a Payoneer account. It’s important to do this from the payment option page so your Getty Images account is linked to your new Payoneer account. If you already have a Payoneer account you will be able to link that account by choosing one of the ‘powered by Payoneer’ options. To do so, click to sign up to Payoneer and you will see an option in the top right for existing users. From there you simply need to enter your username and password. Payoneer has set up an email specifically for Getty Images contributor questions. They can be contacted at if you would like to contact them before making your selection.

Choosing the PayPal option will ask you for the email address associated with your PayPal account, or allow you to access PayPal to create an account.

We also recommend that you visit the Profile section of Account Management to ensure your contact information is up to date.

We are providing advance notice about these changes, so you have time to consider your options and setup an account with Payoneer (preferred provider) or PayPal.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this important change.
